Modern Beige Tiled Bathroom with Light Oak Vanity and Stone Bath
Relaxing En-Suite in a Period Country House
Design Brief
A relaxing en-suite modern bathroom in a period country house in Cheshire. The client wanted a light, clean contemporary style in sympathy with the original historical features.
Floor and Wall Tiles
The floor and wall tiles are Royal Mosa Core Collection Terra Avalon beige (211V) in a square 60 x 60 cm format with matching skirtings. The tile pattern is edge-to-edge. The walls are partially tiled in the wet areas with painted walls to retain the room's character.
Bathroom Furniture
The white suspended YARD washbasin and VASCA ONE bath are made from a composite stone material (Monolith) by Casabath, who also made the textured light oak XS, pressure-opened vanity cabinet and the Minimal mirror with the LED strip down-light.
Sanitaryware
The white sanitaryware is from the Duravit Darling New Collection.
Brassware
The brassware is from the Fantini Nostromo Collection. The washbasin and floor-standing bath shower mixer taps are in finely polished chrome.
Design Details
The electric towel radiator with ample storage space, set off the wall with deep brackets, for bath towels is the Sereno model by Margaroli.
The room has Warmup electric underfloor heating controlled by a wall-mounted timer or a remote phone App.
Lastly, the free-standing toilet brush in polished chrome, to the left of the WC, is by Dornbracht.
